Irma Irene Felski, 96, Minot, formerly of Velva, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, in a Minot nursing home.
Irma Golly was born July 20, 1916, in Benedict, to Eugene N. and Tressie (Sigman) Golly. She moved to Velva with her family at age 11 and graduated from Velva High School in 1934.
In 1938 she married Lonnie Marquardt and they had one son, Billy. Her husband Lonnie was killed in a hunting accident in 1942. Irma moved to California and began working in the defense industry and then retired from Van De Kamps Bakery after many years. She returned to Velva in 1983.
Those who shared in her life: son, Billy W. Marquardt, Laughlin, Nev.; granddaughter, Amy Beth Dustin, Portland, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Irma was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie; her parents; sisters, Norma Nelson, Cleo Duchsherer, Ruth Gilfillan and Velma Rossich; and brothers, Lyle Golly, Ervin Golly and Howard Golly.
At Irma’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Humane Society could be made in Irma’s name.
