Harold Hoehn

WILLISTON – Harold Hoehn, 101, Williston, formerly of Alexander, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, in a Williston nursing home.

He was born Nov. 3, 1911, to Franklin “George” and Millie Hoehn, in Mount Vernon, Mo. He enlisted in the Army and joined the 188th Field Artillery Unit, later called the 957th. He landed on Utah Beach, France, June 12, 1944, and served with the 1st Army across Europe. He was discharged in September 1945 as a technical sergeant. He married Mildred Siemon on June 2, 1946, in Sibley, Iowa. She died Dec. 29, 1972. He married Lola Sande on Jan. 12, 1974, in Williston.

Survivors: daughters, Patricia Smith, Montrose, Colo., Helen Correll, Stillwater, Minn.; son, Gary, Wetmore, Colo.; four grandchildren.

Funeral: Monday, 11 a.m., Faith United Methodist Church, Williston.

Burial: Riverview Cemetery, Williston.

Visitation: Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m., in Fulkerson Funeral Home, Williston.
