Suspect at large in Eddy County

The Eddy County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a suspect in connection with drug charges and a possible abduction.

On Thursday shortly after 1:35 p.m. the sheriff’s department received a report of a female subject being held against her will at 1016-2nd Ave. N. in New Rockford. Upon entering the residence, law enforcement found a 23-year-old woman claiming to being held against her will. A suspect was apprehended at the scene and the abduction is still under investigation.

During the investigation search warrants were executed on two residences in New Rockford with the assistance of the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Stutsman County Task Force. A large amount of marijuana was confiscated along with various drug paraphernalia.

A total of two suspects were apprehended. The first, Demetrius Coleman, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; unlawful possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, with intent to deliver, a Class B felony; manufacture or intent to manufacture marijuana, a Class B felony; and false information to law enforcement, a Class B misdemeanor.

The second suspect in custody, Margaret Coleman, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, a Class C felony, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor.

A third suspect, Ronald Williams, is still at large. Williams is wanted for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, with intent to deliver, a Class B felony; manufacture or intent to manufacture marijuana, a Class B felony; and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor.
