Marian Albright, age 90, of Willow City, died Thursday, Jan. 17, at a Mohall nursing home. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Willow City. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m., at the Nero Funeral Home in Bottineau. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery at Willow City.
Marian (Cooke) Albright was born on Aug. 26, 1922, to Melville and Margaret Cooke, in Willow City. She attended Willow City Public School and graduated in 1940.
She married Vernon Albright on Dec. 7, 1941, in Las Vegas, Nev. They made their home on the farm north of Willow City. Vernon passed away on April 4, 2010.
Marian was the oldest member of the First Lutheran Church in Willow City and was a 63-year charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by: her daughter, Mary Lynn (Robert) Solberg, of Kingwood, Texas; son, Gary (Marlys) Albright, of Mohall, N.D.; granddaughters, Angella (Brandon) Popinga, of Fargo, N.D., Pam (Hunter) Jesse, of Kingwood, Texas, Ashley(Juan) Eraas, of Appleton, Wis.; grandsons, Scott (Mary) Solberg, of The Woodlands, Texas, Jeff (Lauree) Solberg, of Houston, Texas, Cory (Holly) Albright, of Helena, Mont., Shane Eraas, of Pasadena, Calif., and Scott Eraas, of Atlanta, Ga.; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melville and Margaret Cooke; and her husband of 67 years, Vernon “Bud” Albright.
