Seven named to Top Prospects tournament

Seven members of the Minot Minotauros have been selected to take part in the NAHL Top Prospects tournament being held Feb. 18-20 at the Troy Sports Center in Troy, Mich.

Forwards Tim Donohue, Jake O’Borsky, Jadin Martin and Mason Morelli, defensemen Scott Dornbrock and Jack Clifford, and goaltender Tyler Parks were the seven Tauros choosen.

The tournament features five regional teams – Dakota, Frontier, Great Lakes, Midwest and Texas – and the NAHL Under-18 Selects. The six teams will each play three games. Donohue, O’Borsky, Martin and Dornbrock will represent Dakota, while Clifford and Morelli will play for the under-18 team and Parks will suit up for Frontier.

“We’re very proud not only of the seven guys who made it to Top Prospects, but of the way the team has played as a whole,” Tauros coach Marty Murray said in a press release. “Having seven guys picked shows that people around the league have taken notice of how well we’ve played this year; it’s a great day for the Tauros.”
