Larry Rosencrans, 80, longtime Tioga businessman, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the Tioga Medical Center.

It was then that he decided to open his own business, Tioga Parts Supply (NAPA) and enjoyed working there throughout his life. In 1986, Larry and Laura Jean, along with Wayne and Marguerite Grindy and Dick and Nancy Sundhagen, opened the Sportsman Cafe. Together they operated the cafe until 2000.

He became a member of the Tioga Fire Department in 1963, holding various positions including fire chief. He became an EMT in 1975 and served many years with the Tioga Ambulance squad. Larry was elected to the Tioga City Commission in 1972, serving as president for 16 years from 1984 to 2000. He also served on the Tioga Airport Authority.
