Lisa Larsen, 44, of Ray, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.
Lisa was born April 23, 1968, in Fargo. She was raised by her parents, Carl and LeAnn (Belisle) Larsen, in Ray where she was baptized and confirmed at Ray Lutheran Church. She went on to attend Minot State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business. She moved back to Ray and commuted to UND-W in Williston where she taught computer classes. For many years she was with an IT company housed at Mercy Medical Center. She was currently doing IT work for CHW out of her home in Ray.
The joys of her life were her daughter, Julia, born in 1989, and her son, Cody, born in 1996. Her granddaughter, Ava Marie, was born in 2009.
She enjoyed being with family and friends. Lisa liked going to Kota Ray Dam or Lake Sakakawea to hang out with friends. She was a fantastic cook who liked to entertain. Lisa loved eating out, trying new dishes which she herself would later re-create. She was good to share her gift of cooking with those in need. Lisa also liked to shop and spoil her granddaughter.
