Martha Olsen, 100, of Crosby, died Friday evening, Feb. 1, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Center in Crosby.
Martha was born on Nov. 13, 1912, to Fred and Hanna (Haugen) Dahl on the homestead in Lincoln Valley Township, Divide County. She attended Ambrose school and graduated from Ambrose High School.
Martha was united in marriage to Arthur Olsen on May 22, 1937. They lived and farmed on Martha’s parents’ homestead until moving to Crosby in 1978.
Martha was active in her church ladies aid. She held one of the longest continuous homemaker memberships in Divide County.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and doing crafts and also helped with the farm operation.
Martha was preceded in death by: her husband, Arthur; daughter-in-law, Gail Olsen; her parents; sister, Ruth Pederson; and brother, Henry Dahl.
Martha is survived by: her three sons, Emery (Audrey) of Turtle Lake, Arlen (Wanda) and Mervin, both of Crosby; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. at Ambrose Lutheran Church in Ambrose. Pastor Ron Dahle will officiate.
Interment will be in Twin Butte Cemetery, southwest of Ambrose.
