Vivian Herfindahl, 88, of Tioga, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Tioga Long Term Care. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church in Tioga. Pastor Richard Carr will officiate and interment will be held at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, south of Tioga. Vivian J. Herfindahl was born Sept. 8, 1924, to Albert and Ida (Foss) Syverson, in White Earth Township. Vivian was united in marriage to Orel J. Herfindahl Feb. 5, 1942, in Sidney, Mont.
Vivian was well known throughout the area for her uncanny ability to fix, repair or mend anything with her sewing abilities.
Surviving Vivian are: her son, Lowell (Sonja) Herfindahl, Minot; daughters, Jeanene (Robert) Sauer, St. Charles, Ill., ViAnn Sandberg, Minot, Valarie (Dallas) Lalim, Tioga; eight grandchildren, Randy (Jackie) Sauer, Kimberly Herfindahl, Tari (Stephen) Jacobson, Eric (Stephanie) Sandberg, Ryan (Kari) Sandberg, Shaylee (Tim) Ulledahl, Garrett Lalim and Jentry Lalim; great-grandchildren, Haley Smith, Trevin Herfindahl, Madisyn, Lainey, Jack and Wrigley Sandberg, Mikaylee Sandberg, Logan and Sydnee Sandberg, and Nathan and Nicolas Sauer.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; and one sister.
Friends may call at the Fulkerson Funeral Home of Tioga on Friday, Feb. 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, an hour prior to services, at the church.
