Ready or not; know that Jesus is coming

Many of us grew up in the era where our parents actually made us as kids learn to play outside the house with our friends. We embraced the neighborhood baseball game, jump roping contests, dodge ball challenges and the old hide and seek game.

You may recall the counting down from one hundred followed by the shout, “Ready or not, here I come!”

Friends, we are living in challenging times. In light of all the unrighteous chaos and current events that we face as a nation as well as the evil and uncertainties we face around our worldThere is hope!

I have had many precious people ask me in recent days, “Pastor, are we living in the end times in which the Bible speaks about?” “Doesn’t the Bible say something about Jesus coming back to this earth?”

These questions deserve an answer. My answer to both of these questions is YES! The Bible tells us that, “No one knows about that day or hour, not even, but only the angels in heaven, nor the son, but only the father. Therefore keep watch, be ready because you do not know the day or the hour.” Matthew 25

The first time Jesus came to this world he came as the one sent by God to save mankind from sin. Matthew 1:21 tells us, “Mary will give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

To accept by faith and to believe with one’s heart that Jesus died on an old rugged cross as savior and redeemer of mankind qualifies you to be ready for the return of the Lord. He wants us to be living for him and ready for his return! In the second coming of Jesus to this world, he is coming back for those who believe in him, trust in him and live for him each day! Today, ask yourself this question: Am I ready?

Romans 5:8 tells us, “You are loved more than you will ever know by someone who died to know you.”

Remember, “ready or notJesus is coming!
