Minot woman dies in fatal traffic collision
ROLETTE – An unidentified 75-year-old Minot woman died in a traffic collision along N.D. Highway 66 about seven miles west of Rolette late Wednesday night. Two other people were injured in the crash.
The woman was driving her 1997 Oldsmobile westbound toward Minot from the Belcourt area when her vehicle entered the north ditch. As she tried to correct her actions in the blowing snow on the icy and snow-packed highway, her vehicle entered the eastbound lane where it was struck on the passenger side by a 2006 Toyota Camry driven by an unidentified 58-year-old Rolette man with an unidentified 18-year-old female passenger.
Both vehicles were totalled and the driver and passenger in the Camry both suffered injuries. The two were transported to Rugby hospital where they were treated and released.
