Trinity Health partially eases visitor restrictions
Trinity Health is partially lifting visitor restrictions at its hospital and nursing home facilities, according to a press release. The restrictions were put in place a month ago due to an outbreak of influenza.
Barbara Brown, chief nursing officer for Trinity Hospitals, said the restrictions have been lifted at Trinity Hospital and Trinity Hospital-St. Joseph’s. However, the restrictions remain in effect at Trinity Homes.
Jennifer Mitchell, director of nursing, said although Trinity Homes held its annual Ash Wednesday service last week and has resumed some group activities for residents, people are still being asked to refrain from visiting unless absolutely necessary and to restrict visits to immediate family.
In the case of both the hospitals and the nursing home, anyone exhibiting signs of the flu is asked to stay away or to wear a mask if they must visit.
