Klamantz ‘Klem’ Brunner

Klamantz “Klem” P. Brunner, 64, Minot, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in a Minot hospital.

Klamantz “Klem” P. Brunner was born April 25, 1948, in Minot, to Klamantz C. and Alvina (Hiller) Brunner. He lived in Deering during his early childhood, before the family moved to Minot. He graduated from Minot High School. He then attended Minot State College for a time. He worked at City Bakery while attending college.

Klem served in the Army from 1969 to 1972. Klem married Harriet Boen on Nov. 6, 1976, in Kathryn. They made their home in Minot, and had one son, Douglas, who passed away at the age of 6.

He was employed over the years at Harley’s Arrowhead Standard, Hjalmer Carlson Sanitation and Waste Management, retiring in 2008.

Klem enjoyed his early morning trips to the truck stop to have coffee and conversation with his brother and friends.

Klem is survived by: his wife of 36 years, Harriet Brunner, Minot; brothers, Kenneth Brunner, Willow City, and Mike (Cindy) Brunner, Minot; five nephews and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his son, Douglas; parents; and an infant brother.

Funeral: Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Minot.

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.

Visitation: Today, Feb. 22, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
