Ramon W. Larson
Ramon W. Larson, 80, Minot, formerly of Velva, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in a Minot nursing home.
Ramon Walter Larson was born on Dec. 21, 1932, a son of Charles and Sadie (St. Croix) Larson, on the family farm near Kenmare. In 1950, Ramon moved to Makoti. It was while living in Makoti that he was united in marriage to Janice Downie. Together they had five daughters. In 1955, they moved to Minot, where he held a variety of jobs, including delivery driver for Purity Dairy and service attendant at Enco. He also dabbled in construction for a short time. The couple later divorced.
Ramon later was united in marriage to Erma Everding. They made their home in Velva for several years. Erma passed away in 2000. Ramon moved back to Minot and resided at the Milton R. Young Towers until ill health forced him to enter Trinity Homes.
Ramon enjoyed time spent with his family. He enjoyed playing cribbage and telling stories from the good ol’ days. He also liked animals, big cars, playing pinochle, talking politics and religion.
Ramon is survived by: his daughters, Myrna Huffman, Diane Harmon, Laurie Larson and Connie Larson, all of Minot; son, Tod Grieger, West Fargo; son-in-law, Ralph Llewellyn, Minot; grandchildren, Heidi, Tim (Katie), Sarah (Kevin), Leah (Anthony), Kyle (Caeyla), Roger, Janelle, Rikki, John (Kayla), Emily, Samantha, Austin, Laura and Jenna; 15 great-grandchildren, Lanie, Shawn, Kayla, Kristian, Jasmine, Elijah, Alecia, Alexanderia, Serena, Myya, Chloe, Surrey, Justin, Rylie and Kaylie; brother, Clifford (Dolores) Larson, Minot; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Erma; daughter, Ramona Llewellyn; sisters, LaValace Clouse, Irene Gieser and Hazel Carlson; brothers, Norman and Gordon Larson.

Funeral: Tuesday, March 5, at 2 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Burial: A private family burial will take place at a later date in the spring of 2013 at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, friends may sign a guest register on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
