Minot State soccer team adds goalkeeper

The Minot State University women’s soccer team added its 10th player to this year’s recruiting class with the signing of goalkeeper Jimi Guibor.

The 5-foot-5 Manteca, Calif., native will transfer from Auburn University at Montgomery after one year with the Warhawks, an NAIA school in Montgomery, Alabama.

Guibor played in six games and didn’t allow a goal in more than 127 minutes last year.

She will join high school teammate and MSU sophomore Breanne Hatfield. At Manteca High, Guibor was a first-team all-league selection for three straight seasons. She also lettered in volleyball and basketball. Guibor and Hatfield won the California State Cup as seniors.
