Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud, Minn., for Helen S. Wilson, 87, of St. Cloud, formerly of the Minot area, who passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Scott Gjevre will officiate. Burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.
Family and friends may call after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Helen was born Dec. 8, 1925, in Des Lacs, to Gilbert and Helma (Losby) Ingolfsland. She married Harold W. Wilson on Nov. 22, 1946, in Minot. The couple farmed near Minot until moving to Verndale, Minn., in 1963, where they farmed until their retirement in 1978. The couple moved to St. Cloud in 1995.
Helen enjoyed and will be remembered for her crocheting, sewing, restoration of dolls and being with her kitties. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by: her children, Bonnie (Jim) Smith, of Williamsville, Mo., Ray (Mary), of Clearwater, Minn., Don, of St. Cloud, Tim (Norene), of Princeton, Minn., and Larry (Jessica), of Sartell, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Gladys Person, of Des Lacs; son-in-law, William Wankel, of Newberry Park, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold, on Oct. 25, 2000; daughter, Barbara Wankel; granddaughter, Brenda; and great granddaughter, Autumn.
