Roger A. Lund

Roger A. Lund, 66, Otsego, Minn., died March 25, 2013, in his home.

He was born May 26, 1946, in Minot, to Allan and Jean Lund. He graduated from Minot High School in 1964 and attended Wapheton State School of Science and M.S.U. He served in the Marine Corps and received his honorable discharge in 1966.

He married Jayne Hannaford April 22, 1967. He retired in November 2003 after 37 years as a Journeyman Sheetmetal Worker in Minot, Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn. He worked 16 years for Miller Sheet Metal in Minot, finishing the last 10 years at Harris Air Systems in St. Paul.

He enjoyed his grandchildren and entering fairs, winning 21 grand champion awards.

Survived by loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Jayne; Children, Scott Lund (Jen McAdam), of Elk River, Minn., Shanda (Matt) Campana, of Hudson, Wis., and Marshall Lund (Marie Anderson), of Milaca, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Johnathon Lund, Jordan Lund, Fayth Lund, Sofie Lund, Eva Lund, Arabella Campana and Ivy Campana. He is also survived by his sister, Bev (Gary) Laurich, of Blaine, Minn.; sisters-in-law, Vickie Lund, of Elk River, Minn., and Barb (Don) Long, of Minot; special uncles and aunts, Don and June Hunecke, of Hastings, Minn., Leonard Lund, of Minot, and Myrtle Ramstad, of Guymon, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, Allan and Jean Lund and Robert and Irene Kongelf; brother, Richard Lund; father-in-law, John Hannaford and stepmother, Betty Lund.

Funeral service: 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St. NW, Elk River, MN (763-441-1212).

Committal service: At a later date to be announced, a committal service will be held at Roger’s final resting place in Church of the Brethren Cemetery Surrey, N.D.
