MSU track teams picked last

The Minot State University men’s and women’s track and field teams were picked last in their respective Northern Sun Intercollegiate preseason coaches’ polls.

The MSU men are 11th and the women are 13th. Sophomore hurdler Tyler Flatland, a Watford City native, and sophomore pole vaulter Kirk Capdeville, a Hinsdale, Mont., native were named “Athletes to Watch.”

Sophomore sprinter Sienna Dailey, a Glasgow, Mont., native and junior pole vaulter Abbey Aide, a Bottineau native, made the same list for the women.

Minnesota State-Mankato was picked first in the men’s poll and the University of Mary nabbed the top spot in the women’s poll.
