Teton baseball signs Nevada standout
Nevada prep standout Chase Ogolin is Williston State’s latest baseball signee for the 2013-2014 season.
The 5-foot-11 Ogolin, a Yerington High product, leads the state of Nevada in strikeouts this season. He’s fanned 26 batters in just 14 innings and also boasts an impressive .692 batting average.
“He will be able to give us valuable innings on the mound,” WSC coach Shawn Cote said in a press release. “He’ll also compete for a spot in the infield and outfield depending on our need.
Ogolin helped Yerington win back-to-back state titles and was also selected to the Reno Journal-Gazette all-area team.
