Dawn Nicole Lambert, 36, Bismarck, formerly of Minot, passed away April 1, 2013, at St Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 5, at 2 p.m., at Bismarck Funeral Home, Bismarck, with Pastor Kermit Culver from Legacy United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be Friday, one hour prior to the service, in the funeral home.
Dawn was born Nov. 11, 1976, to Raymond and Dolores Lambert, in Minot. She was the youngest of three children. Dawn attended Minot Public Schools and obtained a bachelor’s degree in addiction counseling from Minot State University. She was currently one class away from her master’s degree from Capella University. Dawn grew up in Minot before living in Georgia, Germany and finally returning back to North Dakota and residing in Bismarck.
Dawn had a great love of her dogs. She also had a great love for her nieces and nephews, willing to help in their growth and development in any fashion. Dawn enjoyed cooking and cross stitching. She had a passion for the outdoors especially fishing, with her mom, dad and brother. Dawn spent the last several years actively involved with the local Arthritis Foundation.
Dawn is survived by: her parents Raymond and Dolores Lambert, Bismarck; sister, Melissa (William Henry III) Mills and their children, Emily, Nathanial and William IV “Bubba,” Augusta, Ga.; brother, Matthew (Rhonda) Lambert, and their children, Mya and Brady, Minot; and her beloved dog, Mica.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Paul and Dorothy Achor; paternal grandparents, Taylor and Naomi Lambert; aunts, Gloria Thompson and Debra Plotner; and a cousin, Jeremy Francis.
