Robert J. Brunelle, 91, of Fargo, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, under the care of hospice.
Robert was born in Horace on Feb. 1, 1922, to Rose and Alphonse Brunelle. He was educated at St. Joseph’s Academy at Wild Rice.
He married Phyllis Pearson on June 6, 1950, in Des Lacs. They farmed south of Fargo until his retirement. Robert was a man of prayer who loved and lived his Catholic faith. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Hickson and Horace Senior Citizens.
Robert is survived by: his wife, Phyllis; son, Steven (Tammy Jo), and their children: Danielle (Earl) Haskins, Ryan (Amanda) Brunelle, Amy Brunelle and her fiance, Ryan Semrud, Tyrel Kraft and his fiancee, Christina Toeke, Tanner (Jo Ann) Kraft; daughter, Julie (Timothy) Hoffman, and their children: Shannon (Ernest) Tipton, Fr. Jason Signalness, Lauren (Devin) Hillebrand, Ira (Heather) Signalness, Vaughn (Shauna) Hoffman; and 13 (soon to be 14) great-grandchildren.
Memorials: Are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Visitation: Friday, April 5, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo.
Prayer service: Friday, April 5, at 7 p.m., Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, April 6, 10:30 a.m., at Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo
Burial: Holy Cross South Cemetery, Fargo.
