CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP TO HOST ANNUAL BANQUET APRIL 15 Child Evangelism Fellowship will host its annual banquet April 15 at the Theater Room of the State Fair Center in Minot. Doors open at 6 p.m. The meal and program will begin at 6:30 p.m. The speaker will be John Luck of Richmond, Va.

Luck leads an urban mission project called “Good News Across America.” During last year’s project in the Twin Cities, more than 2,000 children participated.

LIFETREE CAFE DISCUSSIONS SCHEDULED IN MINOT Lifetree Cafe, a scheduled hour of stories and conversations to feed the soul, will be offered at Beaver Brew Cafe, 1100 N. Broadway, every Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m., starting on April 14, and at Faith United Methodist Church, 5900 U.S. Highway 83 N., Tuesdays from 7 to 8 p.m., starting April 16.

The hour typically includes a short original film and guided discussion. Topics, which change weekly, focus on popular life issues such as loneliness, immigration, health, angels, guilt, prayer and life after death.

The sessions are free. Refreshments will be available.

BOOK DISCUSSION SET FOR SUNDAY IN MINOT CHURCH Timothy Murphy and Alex Seefeldt, both of Fargo, will lead a book discussion about the “Psalms of King David” Sunday at 1 p.m. in Congregational United Church of Christ, 430 N. Broadway.

People may bring a bag lunch if they want to eat during the event.

The discussion event is free. Child care will be provided.
