Caroline Rosina Raszler, 86, Minot, and formerly of Beulah, died on Saturday, April 6, 2013, in a Minot hospital.
Caroline was born on June 19, 1926, in Beulah, to John and Rosina (Schnaidt) Raszler. She was reared in Beulah and attended country schools near Beulah. She graduated from Beulah High School in 1944. Caroline continued her education at North Dakota State School of Science, in Wahpeton, for two years before gaining employment in Fargo/West Fargo as a secretary.
Caroline moved to Chicago in 1951 where she was employed as a secretary for an advertising broker until 1955. She was also employed as a legal assistant at Old Republic Life Insurance Company until her retirement in 1990. She moved to Sandwich, Ill., in 1990. She resided in Sandwich until moving to Minot in 2006.
Caroline was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Minot. She especially enjoyed quilting and knitting.
Caroline is survived by: her brother, Ernest (Marcia) Raszler of Ryder; her sister, Pauline Richau, Golden Valley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Caroline was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Jacob and Carl Raszler; and sisters, Bertha Shipman, Freda Aipperspach, Alice Guttormson and Irene Richau.
Celebration of the Life of Caroline Raszler: Wednesday, April 10, at 2 p.m. in Rose Valley Lutheran Church, rural Des Lacs.
Interment: Rose Valley Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Des Lacs.
Visitation: Today, Tuesday, April 9, from 2 to 5 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
