DATE, PLACE SET FOR SPRING GATHERING The Western Prairie Cluster of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will hold their spring gathering April 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Powers Lake.

The theme of the event is “Fully Rely On God” or “F.R.O.G.” is the theme for the spring gathering. Each unit is asked to bring roll call items of prayer shawls which will be donated to hospice. Individuals may bring a monetary “love offering” for Lutheran Social Services.

Susan Haaland will speak about the Macossa school in Mozambique. Speakers will update us about Camp of the Cross, the upcoming SWO convention in Bowman and the Ninth Triennial Gathering in 2014. Fellowship, devotions, elections and shopping will be a part of the day.

A light breakfast and noon lunch are included in the $8 registration fee. To register, call Gayle Gorseth at 453-3271 by April 23.

RUMMAGE/BAKE SALE TO BE HELD IN MINOT CHURCH The Women of Bread of Life Lutheran Church, 1415-17th Ave. SW, Minot, will host a rummage/ bake sale April 20 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a bag sale from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. House plants will also be available for sale.

Coffee and homemade caramel rolls will be available in the morning and a noon lunch will be served beginning at 11 a.m.

Proceeds of the day will be used for scholarships for youth attending Bible camp.

SPRING FLING EVENT SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 27 ?The women of Faith United Methodist Church, Minot, will host their annual Spring Fling April 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the church at 5900 U.S. Highway 83 N.

The event will include presentations on interior decor and container gardening. There will also be music and drawings for door prizes.

Tickets, $15 each, are available by calling 838-1540, or at the door, if any tickets are still available. Only 200 tickets will be sold.

PRIMETIMERS GROUP TO MEET THURSDAY The Primetimers Fellowship group from Our Redeemer’s Church, in Minot, will meet Thursday at 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 700-16th Ave. SE.

Larry Nelson, of Minot, will provide instrumental and vocal entertainment.

Refreshments will be served by Group 1.

ANNUAL SPRING DINNER PLANNED IN CARPIO CHURCH The annual spring dinner at Carpio Lutheran Church, Carpio, will be April 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meatballs and gravy, mashed potatoes, lefse, green beans and coleslaw will be served. An assortment of homemade pies will be available for dessert.

The cost will be $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 12. There will be no charge for preschoolers.

Sunday school raffles will be held in conjunction with the dinner.

‘MINOT’S GOT TALENT’ EVENT TO BE HELD SUNDAY Minot Youth for Christ will host “Minot’s Got Talent” on Sunday at 6 p.m. in First Assembly of God Church, 1805-2nd St. SE, Minot.

The event will showcase leading Christian worship through music, drama, and dance. Students performing come from Minot YFC and several local churches.

There will be a presentation on summer ministry activities through YFC, as well as information on the Fall “Report To The People” banquet in October.

A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.

GIFTS EVENT SCHEDULED IN MINOT ON APRIL 20 The next event of the Western North Dakota Synod Growing in Faith to Serve program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will be April 20 in Bethany Lutheran Church, 215-3rd Ave. SE, Minot.

The topic will be “Acts and the Holy Spirit.” Sarah Henrich, professor of New Testament, at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn., will be the presenter.

Registration is at 8:30 a.m. The event begins at 9 a.m. and will conclude by 3 p.m.

The cost is $10.
