Williston State adds another local recruit
Tioga’s Brady Thompson became the fourth North Dakota recruit to sign with the Williston State College men’s basketball team this spring, WSC coach Eric Peterson announced Saturday.
The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 18.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game during his senior season, leading the Pirates to a runner-up finish in the Region 8 tournament.
“We are very pleased to have Brady in our recruiting class,” Peterson said in a press release. “We are sticking to the plan by recruiting the best local talent first, and then reaching out of state to fill our roster. Brady will be a great fit with what we are trying to accomplish here at Williston State.”
Thompson was named to the all-region tournament team this season and was an all-district and all-district tournament selection in his junior and senior seasons.
WSC has already signed Minot High’s Kyle Gerding, Glenburn’s Houston Lavachek and Garrison’s Mykle Rud.
