Money better spent on kids
This North Dakota Legislature and the governor are being grossly negligent with our dollars. The Republican legislators and governor have caved to outside interests and we North Dakotans are stuck paying top dollar for it.
Rather than focusing on the clear and present needs of the children presently residing in North Dakota, we have multiple bills that will cost millions to litigate. With this money the state could have funded pre-K or increased spending on school security.
But no, instead some of our legislators turned a blind eye to the 3- and 4-year-old North Dakota children in need, are supportive of guns in classrooms and shifting women’s rights back to the 1970s.
You want to put North Dakota on the map, fully funded pre-K would have done it. Wasting state dollars on a special interest agenda is irresponsible and reprehensible, not noteworthy.
Stand tall North Dakota legislators, be proud of the millions of dollars that should have been better spent. You have shown the other 49 states just how shortsighted, shallow-minded and self-serving we can be.
