Cheryl Lynn Lozensky, 61, Minot, died Monday, May 6, 2013, in Trinity Hospital in Minot.
Cheryl Lynn Lysne was born March 16, 1952, a daughter of Almond P. and Helen (Childs) Lysne. She was raised and educated in Maddock, where she graduated from Maddock High School in 1970. Cheryl furthered her education by attending Minot State University.
In 1975, Cheryl was united in marriage to Dennis K. Lozensky. The couple lived first in Minot and then in King’s Court. They divorced in 1992. Then, Cheryl and her son moved back to Minot, where she worked as a purchasing agent for Motor Service Co. until 1999. At the time of her death, Cheryl was the office manager for Checkrite; she had recently celebrated her 20th anniversary with the company. She also taught Sunday school at First Lutheran Church for a number of years.
Cheryl enjoyed reading, camping, walking, shopping, baking, listening to music and playing video games. She could also crochet, as well as play guitar and piano.
Cheryl is survived by: son, Christopher Lozensky, Vermillion, S.D.; companion, Mike Flaten, Minot; and several other extended family members.
Cheryl was preceded in death by an infant child; her parents; and her older brother, Allen Lysne.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal, however, people may sign a guest register on Sunday, May 12, 2013, from noon to 3 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Cheryl requested that no formal funeral services take place.
