Donna M. Johnson, 73, Minot, formerly of Glenburn, died Jan. 21, 2013, in a Mesa, Ariz., hospital.
Donna Marie Lund was born Jan. 12, 1940, in Minot, to Elmer and Leona (Kjera) Lund. She was raised in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1958. Donna was employed at J.C. Penny in Minot from 1956 to 1974.
On April 11, 1964, Donna married Erling “Pete” Johnson. They moved to the farm at Glenburn in 1974, where they lived until 2012, when they moved to Minot.
Donna and Pete enjoyed wintering in Arizona for the last 20 years, and they loved spending the summer months at the Mouse River Park, near Tolley.
Donna was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and was baptized, confirmed and married at the United Congregational Church of Christ in Minot.
Those who shared in her life: loving husband, Pete, Minot; brother, Donnie “Hap” (Joan) Lund, Minot; sisters, Judy (Marvin) Ness, of Douglas, and Julie (Kerry) Bjelland, Edmonds, Wash.; sister-in-law, Bernie Johnson, Minot; nephews, Duane Lund, Jim and Chad Ness, Brad Bjelland Dean and Wayne Johnson; and niece, Connie Geyer.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Leona Lund; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lester and Palma Johnson; and brother-in-law, Gordon Johnson.
Funeral: A private family service will be held at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation: There will be no reviewal but friends may sign the guest register Monday, May 13, from 2 to 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
