Williston State signs New York point guard
Williston State College men’s basketball coach Eric Peterson announced the signing of New York City point guard Jordan Nanton on Monday.
Nanton, the 6-foot floor general of Bishop Loughlin High School, averaged 13 points and eight assists to help his squad to the city championship game.
“Jordan is a true point guard,” Peterson said in a press release. “He is a great decision-maker and loves getting other people involved. There were many games this year that he had more than 10 assists. On top of that he is a steady scorer and knows how to run a team.”
Nanton is the eighth member of the Tetons 2013 recruiting class. He also received interest from a handful of Division I schools, including Siena, Iona, Robert Morris, Marist and South Carolina State.
