Sheldon Wold, 48, of Tioga, died at the Tioga Medical Center in Tioga on Saturday, June 1, 2013.
Sheldon Mark Wold was born in Fargo on Feb. 26, 1965. He was adopted into the family of Carl and Gisela Wold when he was 6 weeks old. He attended school in Tioga. He began working in the oil field doing various jobs. Sheldon spent four years working on the North Slopes of Alaska as a hot oil worker and supervisor. He was united in marriage to Lori Pederson on Jan. 29, 1988. He worked for Murex Petroleum as a rig supervisor until his illness brought his work days to an end. Lori died in August 1998.
He was able to visit his mother’s family in Germany.
Sheldon enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and going to the Sturgis bike rally with his friends. He had many friends and would never hesitate to help anyone when they needed him.
He is survived by: his parents; daughter, Kylie Ann; sister, Sheila and (Jon) Wolla of Tioga; grandsons, Gauge Martin Wold and Harley Knudson, both of Tioga; nephew, Kalab Wolla, and niece, Kendra Wolla, both of Tioga; aunt, Sophie Fuhrman of Milnor; one uncle and three aunts in Germany; and several cousins.
Sheldon was preceded in death by: his wife, Lori; his grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 5, at 4 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Tioga. Pastor Sandy Anderson and Pastor Michael DeKraai will officiate.
Interment will be held at Scandia Cemetery near Battleview.
Friends may call at the Fulkerson Funeral Home of Tioga today, Tuesday, from 1 to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, one hour prior to services, at the church.
