Dates released for mosquito spraying

More specific dates have been provided by the Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs Office for the first application of aerial spraying mosquitoes in the area.

The current schedule is as follows:

Sunday: Minot Air Force Base area.

Monday: City of Minot.

Tuesday, Williston.

The 910th Airlift Wing’s Air Force Aerial Spray Squadron at Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, will be applying the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency registered pesticides between the hours of 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. A modified C-130H cargo aircraft is used to apply the pesticides, flying at 150 feet above the ground.

The dates and times are subject to change due to weather conditions and with little notice.
