Faye McDougall

Faye McDougall, age 90, of Rolla, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Towner County Living Center in Cando.

Faye McDougall was born on June 11, 1923, in Rolla, to Arthur and Jean (McKay) Wayne. She was raised in Rolla and graduated from Rolla High School. Faye was united in marriage to James McDougall on Sept. 16, 1944, in Devils Lake. Together they raised three sons, Ross, Michael and John, and a daughter, Sue. Faye and James farmed northeast of Rolla for many years before moving into Rolla in the fall of 1978. She enjoyed being at home, working in the hayfields and being around young children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Faye loved her family dearly and all of her time spent with them. She was a life member of the Presbyterian Church in Rolla, donating much of her time and care to the church as a member of the UPW (United Presbyterian Women). She was also a member of the IOOF (International Order of Odd Fellows) Rebekah Chapter and the Picton Homemakers Club.

Faye will be lovingly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends.

Faye is survived by: her children, Ross (Peggy) McDougall of Rolla, Sue (Jim) Lolley of Casper, Wyo., Michael (Bonnie) McDougall and John (Julie) McDougall, all of Rolla; nine grandchildren, Shane (Danielle) McDougall, Jessica (Jarrod) Clark, Dana (Mark) Kinslow, Kristin (Doug) Sharbono, Kari (Andy) Downer, Kent (Erica) McDougall, Scott (Tara) McDougall, Bridget Stowers and Jackie Sue McDougall; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; brother, John Wayne; and sisters, Margie Benson and Betty Larson.

Casket Bearers are Shane McDougall, Kent McDougall, Scott McDougall, Curt Juntunen, Blake Crosby and Dave Juntunen.

Honorary bearers are all grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Music by Dave Schnackenberg, pianist and Arne Boyum, soloist.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday, July 3, at 5 p.m. at the Rolla Presbyterian Church with Pastor Trudy Dumont officiating.

Burial will follow in Rolla City Cemetery.

A prayer service will be held Tuesday, July 2, at 5 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service, both at the church.

Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, is handling arrangements.
