HOMELESS SITUATION IN MINOT TO BE FOCUS OF ‘SOLUTIONS THROUGH GRACE’ SESSION Congregational United Church of Christ and All Saints’ Episcopal Church will host “Solutions Through Grace,” a discussion about what the faith community can do to be of service for homeless people in Minot, on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Congregational United Church of Christ, 430 N. Broadway.

People of all faiths are encouraged to attend and be a part of the homeless issue discussion.

ENGLISH CLASSES TO BE OFFERED IN MINOT CHURCH Missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will offer English classes Sundays at 2:45 p.m. in the church at 2025-9th St. NW, Minot. Each class will last about one hour.

The classes, for people who have a limited knowledge of the English language, will be offered free of charge. People should bring note supplies if they want to take notes.

‘CASH & FAITH’ DISCUSSION TO BE HELD IN MINOT CHURCH The Faith, Nurturing and Education Committee of Congregational United Church of Christ, Minot, will host a Sunday morning discussion, “Cash & Faith,” on Aug. 11 at 10 a.m.

The seminar will address lessons to be learned from the music and life of Johnny Cash, who was also known as the Man in Black.

The church is located at 430 N. Broadway.

DATE SET FOR CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S CLUB MEETING Minot Christian Women’s Club will meet Aug. 13 from 12:15 to 2 p.m. in the Grand Hotel, Minot.

Guest speaker and singer for the mother and daughter celebration luncheon will be Alice Delzer, of Mandan. Her topic will be “In the Palm of His Hand.” An assortment of talents will be presented during a “variety show” for entertainment.

The cost is $10, inclusive.
