Thanks for Declaration

Marty Graner, Minot

On July 4, 2013, The Minot Daily News printed the Declaration of the United States of America. Notice this is on one page of the paper. This could easily be on four 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheets of paper. If you haven’t read this declaration, stop now and read it for it says a lot about how this great country of ours was founded. Thank you, Minot Daily News.

Also in the same day’s paper were two outstanding ads by Scheels and Hobby Lobby. Please thank these businesses for they also showed us how and what the founders of this country knew and wanted all of us to understand. Namely, that God’s laws are the guide to all that we do or say.

All of the articles reminded me of a conversation with my grandfather in 1950. My grandfather told me that if I wanted a good life, I needed to follow the Ten Commandments. He added by saying that there are times that I would be smarter than God and rationalize and do wrong. You, he said, will know the real truth and will need to get back on track. My grandfather was so right and I thank him for the wisdom he shared.

Again, I want to say thank you to The Minot Daily News, Scheels and Hobby Lobby for sharing that which they know is correct.
