Minot people are guilty of doing good for babies
Minot area business and community leaders are preparing to “do time” for the March of Dimes today at Pizza Ranch. Their efforts are on behalf of the community fundraiser Jail & Bail.
Participants, called “jailbirds” for the event, are challenged to raise their bail by asking for donations from friends, family and business associates. They can collect it beforehand or make calls while “in jail.” Upon entering the mock jail site, they will be booked, fingerprinted and wear prisoner clothing.
People interested in doing time for the March of Dimes are welcome to attend the event any time between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. People can also raise bail online by registering on (www.marchofdimes.com/jailandbail).
For every dollar raised, 76 cents goes directly toward programs that help to educate, promote advocacy and fund medical research that improves the health of all babies.
