Berthold Ambulance awarded grant

Farm Credit Services of N.D. has announced that it has awarded the Berthold Ambulance Service $5,000 as a recipient of the Rural Community Grant Fund. The grant funds helped purchase a new power lift to lift patients from the cot into the ambulance.

Helen Grant and Clayton Fegley of the Berthold Ambulance Service accepted the check.

“FCS is pleased to provide grant funds to the Berthold Ambulance project,” said Claude Sem, CEO of FCSND. “The services provided by rural ambulance staff are essential to the well-being of their community and Farm Credit feels strongly that it is important to give back to the community.

“The needs in the Berthold area are growing with the significant impact oil exploration has made and will continue to make in the coming years. We are excited to help support their needs providing equipment to help them assist in saving lives.”

Farm Credit Services of ND, Farm Credit Services of Mandan and AgriBank established the Rural Community Grant Fund to assist in the implementation and development of projects and programs in communities and rural areas in western North Dakota which have been impacted by mineral exploration. The grant fund is currently accepting applications for future funding requests. Interested parties can apply at (
