Communities receive grants
BISMARCK Area communities are among recipients of grants for water improvement projects in North Dakota. The financing is being delivered through USDA Rural Development’s Water and Environmental Program.
The City of Rolla will receive a $2.33 million loan and a $1.87 million grant. The funding will replace water mains, install new fire hydrants and update the city’s water distribution system.
The City of Lignite will receive a $762,000 loan and $669,200 grant to upgrade the current wastewater pond and collection system.
The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa will get a $1 million grant to expand water treatment and supply for the Turtle Mountain Rural Water System.
