Patricia M. Wolf, 93, Minot, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in her daughter’s home, rural Sawyer, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jay Kroke, after the death of her husband in January 2012.
Patricia was born Sept. 18, 1919, to Peter and Elizabeth (McGowan) Karp, in Epping. She graduated from Epping High School and then graduated from Minot State Teachers College in 1938.
Patricia married Jerome J. Wolf on May 15, 1946, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Minot. They made their home southeast of Minot, where they created their homestead. They resided there for many years where they raised their seven children, moving into the city of Minot in 2004.
Patricia taught school in various locations, starting at the age of 19. She enjoyed visiting with people, having the opportunity to do so while working at Jackie’s Cafe. Patricia had a very kind and loving heart and volunteered many hours transcribing books into Braille for the blind for more than 30 years and was a foster mother for numerous infants. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and owned and operated “Pat’s Plants” for several years.
She was a member of the area homemakers club and St. Leo’s Catholic Church of Minot.
Those who shared in her life are: her sons, Gary (Barb) Wolf, Minot, and Billy (Theresa) Wolf, Bismarck; daughters, Bonnie Wolf, Walnut Creek, Calif., Sue Packulak, Minot, Jerylyn (Lyle) Schepp, Maxbass, Kathy (Jay) Kroke, Sawyer, and Jackie (Scott) Snyder, Minot; sisters, Alice Wolf, of Arizona, Betty Ann Rivinius, of California; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome; parents; infant son, Timothy; and brother, Jack.
Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at 11 a.m., in St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot.
Visitation: Today, Sept. 19, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, and from 6 to 7 p.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot.
Vigil prayer service: Today, at 7 p.m., at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
