Dale Peterson, 68, Garrison, formerly of Minot, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 19, at a Garrison hospital. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 11 a.m., in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Garrison. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, south of Mandan.
Dale was born Aug. 13, 1945, in Wayzata, Minn., to Arthur and Eleanor (Wagner) Peterson. After graduating high school, Dale proudly served in the Air Force and was stationed at Minot Air Force Base. He also served and retired from the Army Reserve. He worked for Boyd Construction and later for Montana Dakota Utilities Co.
Dale loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Dale is survived by: his wife of 39 years, Myra; daughters, Tiffany (Chris) Heth, Jennifer (David) Morgan; grandsons, Dillon and Connor Morgan, who were Grandpa Dale’s best buddies; sisters, Charlotte (Richard) Blesi, Gloria Busbey, Hedda (Jerome) Olson; brothers, William, Bruce, and David (Lorah) Peterson; father-in-law, Lawrence Galusha; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law; and a brother-in-law.
