Tyler Lee Gleave was born Oct. 27, 1982, to Curtis and Shelly (Post) Gleave, in Stanley. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Tioga. Tyler graduated from Tioga High School, had a diesel mechanic degree from WyoTech, and studied petroleum engineering at Butte, Mont. He worked in the oil field at Hess Gas Plant, Neset Consulting and Tartan Control.
Tyler found true love three years ago with Brandi Grant, and soon her daughter, Chastidy, stole his heart as well.
Tyler’s love of football began at an early age. He enjoyed playing, starting with ‘Gabby’s Raiders’ in grade school, and played all through high school. He was an avid NDSU Bison fan and a Green Bay Packers fan. You rarely saw him without one of his dogs. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycle, four-wheeler and snowmobile, especially when he had family and friends along.
Tyler had an infectious grin and was always ready with a bear hug if you needed it. He was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
Tyler is survived by the special people in his life: Brandi Grant and her daughter, Chastidy; his parents, Curtis and Shelly Gleave, of Tioga; sister and brother-in-law, Mandy and Garrett Raveling; grandparents, Evelyn Johnson and Hazel Gleave, all of Tioga; niece, Kenzee Gravling, Tioga; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Monte Post, Merlin Johnson and Ray Gleave Sr.; and his uncle, Eric Post.
Friends may call at the Fulkerson Funeral Home of Tioga today, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and an hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
