MINOT CHURCH TO HOST ‘RUMNEY MUSIC CELEBRATION’ A “Rumney Music Celebration” for Lynne, Jon and Danica Rumney, of Minot, will be held during the Oct. 20 worship service at 10 a.m. in Vincent United Methodist Church, 1024-2nd St. SE, Minot.

The choirs will present special music during the service to celebrate the music and ministry of Lynn and Jon Rumney.

A pie social will be held in the church fellowship hall after the service. Proceeds of the social and from the sale of individual pies will go to the Rumney family to help with Lynne’s medical expenses.

ROAST BEEF SUPPER SCHEDULED IN BUTTE A roast beef supper will be served Oct. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Butte.

Tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for youth under age 12. Preschoolers will not be charged.

A bake sale and raffle will begin at 4:45 p.m.

PORK ROAST DINNER, BAKE SALE, BAZAAR PLANNED The annual fall pork roast dinner, bake sale and bazaar will be held Oct. 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hope Congregational United Church of Christ, Granville.

The cost will be $8 for adults and $3 for youth ages 6 to 12. There will be no charge for children age 5 and under.

ANNUAL TABLES DE JOUR EVENT TO BE HELD The women’s group of American Lutheran Church, in Stanley, will host their third annual Tables de Jour event Oct. 19 in the church fellowship hall.

The event, which starts at 10 a.m., will feature brunch and entertainment by The Grace Notes, a women’s singing group, from the Fessenden area. Fashions from Prairie Outfitters will be on display and a silent auction to benefit breast cancer will be held.

Tickets are $20. Seating is limited and reservations are encouraged by calling the church office at 628-2550 or Renae at 628-2934.

MINOT CHURCH TO HOST GUEST SPEAKER Rusty Fulp, of Creation, Evolution and Science Ministries, will be the guest speaker Sunday during the 6 p.m. service in Minot Baptist Church, 500-46th Ave. NE.

Fulp will present the answers to questions like does God exist, how can anyone believe in religion when science has neither a need nor a place for God, is evolution happening today and if God is a God of love, why do we suffer and die?

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP GROUP TO MEET Business Men’s Fellowship USA will meet Thursday from noon to 12:50 p.m. in the Royal Fork Buffet Restaurant, Minot.

Guest speaker will be Bob Paulson, of rural Minot. He retired in 2009 after 24 years of service with the Navy.

PRIMETIMERS TO MEET THURSDAY The PrimeTimers Fellowship Group from Our Redeemer’s Church will meet Thursday at 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 700-16th Ave. SW.

Gene and Cindy Putnam, of Minot, will present a program of music and song.

Group 3 will serve refreshments.

MEATBALL SUPPER SCHEDULED IN HARVEY A meatball supper will be served Sunday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in First Lutheran Church, Harvey. Lefse and Norwegian goodies will be a part of the supper.

Tickets will be $8 for adults, $6 for youth ages 6 to 12 and $3 for children ages 3 to 5.

CHURCH TO HOST PRESENTATION Open Gate Church will host a presentation by former Hutterites during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday at 234-14th Ave. SE.

The group will present their form of dance and flag ministry.
