Emil Neuharth

TURTLE LAKE Emil Neuharth, 91, Turtle Lake, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, in a Turtle Lake hospital.

He was born Feb. 25, 1922, to Albert and Marie Neuharth, of McClusky. He served in the Army’s 188th Field Artillery Regiment from April 1941 to September 1945. He served time in France and Germany, participating in the Normandy invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He married Mildred Tjenstrom in 1961.

Survivors: son, Brian, of Victoria, Minn.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert and Herbert, both McClusky, Alvin, Bismarck; sisters, Edna Neuharth, McClusky, Matilda Holcomb, Great Falls, Mont., Marian Branson, Las Animas, Colo., and Evelyn Peter, Valley City.

Funeral: Thursday, 10:30 a.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, Turtle Lake.

Burial: Turtle Lake Cemetery.

Visitation: Thursday, 9 a.m. until the service, in the church.
