Montana man dies in crash on N.D. Highway 200
CARTWRIGHT Robert Best, 53, Harlowton, Mont., died at a 9 p.m. crash Wednesday on N.D. Highway 200 in Cartwright, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Best was driving a 1997 Geo sedan southbound on McKenzie County Road 16, approaching the intersection with Highway 200. The Geo “skidded past a stop sign” at the intersection, according to the report, and was struck on the left side by a 2012 Freightliner straight truck driven by Fred Bell, 47, St. Maries, Idaho.
The car spun and was struck again before coming to rest in the south ditch facing north on its wheels in front of where the truck came to rest.
