Minot man injured in semi truck incident
WATFORD CITY Zerihun Negari, 27, Minot, was injured when he overturned and totaled the 2007 Peterbilt semi, with a trailer hauling butane, he was driving while attempting to avoid a collision Thursday at about 8:38 a.m. on U.S. Highway 85, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Negari was traveling northbound on the highway at about 60 mph while approaching the intersection of 21st Street Northwest with another vehicle in front of him. The forward vehicle was making a left turn and Negari applied breaks and drove into the east ditch to avoid a collision. The truck overturned in the ditch. Negari, who was cited for care required, was transported to the McKenzie Hospital for injuries suffered.
