Harriet Gladys Brunner, 65, Minot, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, in a Minot nursing home.
Harriet was born on Aug. 16, 1948, in Fergus Falls, Minn., a daughter of Haldor and Hazel (Preitauer) Boen. She graduated from Kathryn High School and a short time later she moved to Bismarck, where she attended Bismarck Junior College and worked for the State of North Dakota as a file clerk.
She met Klamantz “Klem” Brunner while working in Bismarck. On Nov. 6, 1976, in Kathryn, the couple was married. They lived in Minot, where she babysat and worked as an Avon representative for 25 years. The couple had one son, Douglas, who passed away at the age of 5. In July of 2011, she entered Trinity Homes in Minot, where she enjoyed activities such as bingo and reading groups.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Minot and was active in the church and with various ladies church groups. Her husband, Klem died on Feb. 19, 2013.
She is survived by: her sister, Lenora (James) Ziemba, of Valley City; nephews, Tim Ziemba, of Fargo, and John Ziemba, of Valley City; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Brunner, of Willow City, and Mike (Cindy) Brunner, of Minot; numerous other nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Klamantz; her son Douglas; and her parents.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Minot.
Visitation: Today, Oct. 25, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
