Local officers selected to serve on Board of Trustees
On Sept. 13, the North Dakota Dental Hygienists’ Association held their 2013 Fall Annual Session at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fargo. The NDDHA members selected officers to serve on the 2013-2014 Board of Trustees.
The newly installed officers include past president Linda Alton of Williston, vice president Christina O’Neill of Williston and treasurer Amy Schaefer, Minot.
The NDDHA Annual Fall Session allows their members to enjoy professional support, educational programs and numerous opportunities for participation in association decisions. This fall the NDDHA also commemorated the 100th anniversary of the profession of dental hygiene.
The mission of the NDDHA is to improve the public’s total health and to advance the art and science of dental hygiene by increasing the awareness of and ensuring access to quality oral health care, promoting the highest standards of dental hygiene education, licensure and practice, and representing and promoting the interests of dental hygienists. NDDHA is part of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, which represents over 150,000 registered dental hygienists nationwide.
