Crash near Stanley kills one, injures other driver

STANLEY Palermo woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident near Stanley early Friday morning.

The Highway Patrol states a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Dustin M. Wolff, 22, of Minot, was westbound on U.S. Highway 2 eight miles east of Stanley when a 2003 Nissan Altima driven by Antoinette C. Westpheling, 46, failed to yield while crossing the highway from 74th Avenue Northwest. The pickup struck the Nissan on the driver’s side, with both vehicles coming to a stop in the median. The crash occurred shortly after 5 a.m.

Wolff, who was wearing a seatbelt, was injured. Westpheling, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died as a result of her injuries.
