Steve Bauer, 56, Kenmare, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, in his home.
Steven Alan Bauer was born on Feb. 5, 1957, a son of Leonard and Ethel (Hanson) Bauer, in Kenmare. He was raised on the family farm and attended Kenmare Public School, graduating in 1975. Following graduation, he attended North Dakota State University in Fargo and the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton for a time. He returned to Kenmare and took over the family farm.
On July 29, 1983, Steve was united in marriage to Elaine Moen at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare. They continued living and raising their family in rural Kenmare on the family farm. Steve enjoyed watching sports, listening to rock ‘n’ roll music, visiting with friends and taking his dog, Jersey, on many pickup rides.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ethel Bauer; father-in-law, Mert Moen; sister, Jean Stark; brother-in-law, Todd Helmers; and niece, Heidi Stark.
Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare.
Burial: St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Kenmare.
Visitation: Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 4 to 5 p.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare.
Vigil prayer service: Wednesday, 5 p.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare.
