Elizabeth “Betty” Miller passed away peacefully in Everett, Wash., on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the age of 71. A longtime resident of Sea-Tac, Wash., she most recently lived in Marysville, Wash.
Betty was born April 12, 1942, to John C. and Katherine (Fischer) Miller in Orrin where she was raised on the family farm and later moved to Harvey. She graduated from Harvey High School in 1960. She worked various jobs before moving west to the Seattle area in 1966. A longtime employee of pharmaceutical company Amfac (now Cardinal Health), she retired after nearly 30 years of service as a bookkeeper. Never one to sit still, Betty took a job with OHL of Seattle, until April 2013. Betty was an avid reader since childhood; she also enjoyed gardening, yard sales and collecting antiques.
Betty is preceded in death by: her parents; her sister, Barbara (Daniel) Deck; and brothers, Aloysius, Clifford and infant Constantine Miller.
Betty is lovingly remembered by: her sisters, Agatha (Leo) Volk, of Harvey, and Kathleen (Leonard) Gisi, of Port Orchard, Wash.; and loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family is grateful for the wonderful friendship of her neighbors, Wayne and Ginny Morgan, and the care she received from Jolene and Herschel Mobley and staff at Hidden Creek Adult Group Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle, Hospice & Home Care of Snohomish County in Everett, Wash., or a charity of your choice.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
