Sarah Joy Cooke-Bosch
Sarah Joy Cooke-Bosch, 62, Bismarck, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at Sanford off Collins, Mandan, after a short battle with cancer.
Joy was born Dec. 31, 1951, at Harrison, Ark., to Ralph and Celesta (Gleed) Cooke. The family moved to Minneapolis in 1963, where she was raised and educated. In 1979 she moved to Minot and soon met and married her husband of 32 years, Harvey Bosch. Joy had her own daycare, was a consultant for Longaberger Baskets, where she was the top sales consultant for three years, worked for Herberger’s at the Estee Lauder counter, and also traveled as a court reporter for Social Security Disability hearings. Joy was very creative and had a love of quilting, photography and organizing and decorating houses, and making her surroundings beautiful.
She is survived by: her husband, Harvey C. Bosch, Bismarck; her mother, Celesta Cooke, Yankton, S.D.; two daughters, Sarah (Ben) Stewart and Rachele Hall, all of Mandan; two sons, Timothy W. Hall, Plymouth, Minn., and Maj. Jeremy (Lynn) Hall, Lithia, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Jessica (Jon) Klein, Bismarck; two stepsons, Scott (Wendy) Bosch, Victoria, Minn., Brad (Dixie) Bosch, Fargo; sisters, Marietta (Michael) Heuberger, Pequot Lakes, Minn., Deborah (Lyndall) Rambo, Elk Grove, Calif., Lois (Bud) Fuchs, Edmonton, Alb.; four brothers, Samuel (Cheri) Cooke, Minneapolis, Rev. Philip (Karen) Cooke, Morgan Hill, Calif., Mark (Rebecca) Cooke, Elk Grove, Calif., and Rev. Jon (Pam) Cooke, Yankton, S.D.; six grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Joy was preceded in death by her dad, Rev. Ralph E. Cooke.
Funeral services: Will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan, with Rev. Philip R. Cooke officiating. Family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place.
